Self Defense Can Result in Defending Yourself

An Arizona man who held illegal aliens at gun point will have to defend himself in court during a 32M$ lawsuit.
The rancher has caught more than 12,000 illegals using his land to cross the border over the years and turned them into the Border Patrol. The illegals are arguing that he violated their civil rights.
So I can legally shoot another American CITIZEN if he is sneaking through my property in the middle of the night, but he can't detain, at gunpoint, an illegal while waiting for the police to arrive. This world is become a bit complicated for my liking.

Talking to Iran

The president of Iran said today that he is prepared to open dialogue, reports the NYT. While cumming all over themselves the New York Times forgot a really big problem with this, the President of Iran doesn't have any power, good luck getting the Ayatollah to not beat you to death with a stick when you show up, but the president will be speaking to you very nicely. We shoulda put these assholes down when they overtook the embassy.

What Happened to Executions?

An Army fella fled to Canada trying to avoid his deployment to Iraq. He is turning himself in to MP's in Georgia on Tuesday in hopes that he will charged as AWOL instead of desertion. His lawyer says that the AWOL charge has a maximum jail time of 18 months, with varying discharge types. The lawyer also says that the desertion charge has a max sentence of 5 years...except he is the shittiest lawyer in military history, desertion during a time of war is actually punished as treason, which means the death penalty. Read the UCMJ before you tell your client to turn himself in.

BTW, I support the kid getting the desertion charge, even if it was because he didn't want to kill people. Sorry to tell you this kid, don't sign up for the military, especially not artillery, if you don't want to have death on your hands.

Birthday Parties

Birthday parties are some of the most extravagant things that we Americans do. We spend large amounts of money, and a good bit of time preparing them for the people around us and we give good wishes to people on their special day, even if we don't know them. Today was my daughters birthday party, and as is the tradition in most of America the women through the party and us men drank bear. Presents were in surplus, a huge cake was being prepared, and the laughter of children was abound. But the joy of the day was broken, on what we consider to be an amazing day, Christina lost a friend.
All the dads that decided to show came down to the basement to play a little pool, drink "responsibly" and shoot the shit in general. But more than just a pool table is in the basement, there is also a small collection of trophies from the larger bucks that I have taken down. Never did I think that something as simple as hunting would break my daughters heart. One of the fathers saw them, immediately went upstairs, and proceeded to leave with his son.
Why are so many people offended by things like this? No one seems to know. Guns, hunting, even fishing, some people are just so offended, are they misinformed about these particular types of recreation, have they been lied to? Who knows, I just want all these libtards to leave me alone, go to Cuba if you want the government to take care of everything for you, I'm self sufficient, I want to be proficient at basic survival skills in case this world you rely on disappears.

Obama The Dumb

The legislative proccess takes a long time, it's never perfect, and usually someone get's screwed over in the end. But the fucking president needs to back off and stop INTIMIDATING people into accepting his plan. Here's a quick qoute from the annoited one, "the legislation deserved scrutiny but that speed trumped perfection."
Basically what he wants our legislators to do is approve a 600B$ spending bill with a 180B$ stimulus attached to it. What do those 180B$ include? Rebates, which have never worked in the past; broadband to rural areas, where people don't seem to want it; new roads, that we don't need; and upgrades to airports, that are seeing less traffic. So even the stimulus part of the plan sucks by any standard. He says that the republicans are trying to use old failed policies of the past, but everything that he wants to do has failed in every country that has tried it, including ours.
Mr, Obama, I implore you to step back, stop trying to give yourself and your party more power and acctually help us, just let the recession run it's course.

The Driving Test

Have you ever suppressed thoughts that that woman in front of you swerving between 3 lanes, with the turn signal permanently on, driving 15 MPH under the speed limit is doing it because she is Asian because you don't want to sound rascist?

Well here's one example of a Korean woman who has failed the test 771 times.

In the US Georgia and Texas require a score of 75 and 80 (out of 100) respectively, I remember taking these tests in both states, I don't have the paperwork, but I scored in the 90's, probably got 1 question wrong about proper yeilding while taking a right hand turn with no cross traffic. In South Korea you have to score a 60...the highest score she has gotten in her 771 tries? 50...taking wild guesses on a multipe choice test would have resulted in 9 perfect scores, and the minimum score of sixty 17 times.

Whale Wars

Finally, it's happened, the crew of the Sea Shephard has finally done something stupid enough to piss off Japan.
I've watched this show a few times on Animal Planet, mostly hoping that some 5'2" Japanese man will suddenly emerge and open fire on these absolute morons. They've been arrested multiple times, one of them has been shot, and had flashbangs thrown at them, just a few of the entertaining points of the show. This stuff usually happens after they do something stupid, like boarding a ship.

So what did the dumb bastards do this time? They rammed a fucking ship, they didn't scuttle it, they rammed it, that's like some one slaming into the side of your car, head on, while your driving down the interstate.

The family of a man shot to death by a group of New Orleans police officers are sueing the department for wrongful death.
The confrontation happened when a shooting was reported at a club, Grimes (the accused) was pulled over for a felony stop and fired a shot at police, the group of police officers opened fire, hitting him 10 times (9 in the back).

Look, Darwin at work again, only the strong (sometimes in the mind) survive, shoot at a group of people that outnumber you heavily and you will die.

Time at the Range, Good and Bad

Got to the private range, getting excited, go into the locker room and change into some better suited gear. I decide that first I'm gonna go to the 100 yard range to do a quick zero in of the rifle and find out what ammunition will work best with it (I do this with every new firearm). I test out different lines within Hornady, Black Hills, and Wolf. I settle on Hornady TAP 60 gr, it seems to have the best mix of felt recoil, and follow-up accuracy. So I go back to the from desk, see that one of the live boxes is empty at the moment, sign into it, and change my gear once again. I put on a thigh rig for my XD and attach a single point sling to the adjustable stock on the AR, load up 6 magazines, and take 10 rounds out of one of the magazines at random.
Note: At this point I am wearing a polo shirt that labels me as a youth instructor for this particular facility, aswell as a shooting jacket that has quite a few patches including, an old MOS patch, a usmc patch, the patch for the range I'm at, a CorBon patch, and among others, a patch for one of my former Contractor employers, this is the one that would get me in trouble...

I walk out to my new area, it is a 50X50 yard square with 12-15 foot high berms and a small shack in one corner with an assortment of different colored lights (to indicate whether it is safe to enter), a phone for calling the senior range officer, the entrance to the area, and racks of set-up gear so you can arrange your live shoot how you would like.
I go through the first and second magazines fine, still suprised at how low the recoil is, but at the same time finding realizing that the fifle is quite loud due to the shortened barrel. I load up the 3rd magazine, deciding to due a quick reload when I deplete it...I load up the 4th magazine, squeezing off the rounds as quickly as I can, and then it happens, it's the short magazine..I pause for what feels like an eternity, but in reality is less than a second, I drop the rifle, relying on the sling to catch it, I transition to the XD and pop 2 rounds into my current target, spin around and there it is, standing next to my newest target, a living, breathing human, my heart skips a beat, I hoster my pistol and I let out a round of Expletives at the new person and walk to the entrance shack picking up the phone, it rings two times and I angrily request the senior range officer on duty come to my live box. And I head over to talk to the man.
Let's call this guy Jimbo...
Jimbo,"I was in the Army."
"What the fuck are you doing in my box, I could have killed you."
Jimbo, "I saw your patch for generic contracting company, I'm not a big fan of you boys, damn mercs..."
(Enter range officer, it's the owner Chris)
Chris, "What's going on El Sid?"
"This guy walked into a box, almost shot him when I moved to a new target."
Chris, "Was the green light on?" (Green means safe to enter)
"No, red, I turned on yellow when I called you."
Chris, "Jimbo?"
Jimbo, "Look at his insignia, he shouldn't even be in here."
I look at him confused.
Chris, "What the hell are you talking about?"
Jimbo, "He's a fucking mercenary..."
At this point my hearth sank, I hadn't been confronted with this demon in a long time, here was another misinformed, ignorant man confusing contractors and mercenaries. (I'll go into this further in my next post)
Chris, "Jimbo, go to the membership office."
Jimbo, "Why?"
Chris, "Just fucking go!"

I followed chris up to the front desk, and filled out some quick complaint forms, citing the ranges 3rd safety rule: DO NOT enter any range shown to be in use
Jimbo, who has only been a member for a few weeks is permanetly banned from the club, his entire first years payment forfieted due to breaking a safety rule. Chris apologizes and assures me it won't happen again.
I head home, and spend the next few hours cleaning...

Alejandro Melendez called 911 because he saw a couple fellas with guns, then he asked the dispatcher to hold on...while he tried to buy drugs. Great move jackass.
