Talking to Iran
The president of Iran said today that he is prepared to open dialogue, reports the NYT. While cumming all over themselves the New York Times forgot a really big problem with this, the President of Iran doesn't have any power, good luck getting the Ayatollah to not beat you to death with a stick when you show up, but the president will be speaking to you very nicely. We shoulda put these assholes down when they overtook the embassy.

Obama Stupidity of the Day
Obama is applying stricter energy regulations on industry in a time when the economy sucks. Great idea, let's force businesses to research things that won't help the US instead of what sells.

Obama The Dumb
The legislative proccess takes a long time, it's never perfect, and usually someone get's screwed over in the end. But the fucking president needs to back off and stop INTIMIDATING people into accepting his plan. Here's a quick qoute from the annoited one, "the legislation deserved scrutiny but that speed trumped perfection."
Basically what he wants our legislators to do is approve a 600B$ spending bill with a 180B$ stimulus attached to it. What do those 180B$ include? Rebates, which have never worked in the past; broadband to rural areas, where people don't seem to want it; new roads, that we don't need; and upgrades to airports, that are seeing less traffic. So even the stimulus part of the plan sucks by any standard. He says that the republicans are trying to use old failed policies of the past, but everything that he wants to do has failed in every country that has tried it, including ours.
Mr, Obama, I implore you to step back, stop trying to give yourself and your party more power and acctually help us, just let the recession run it's course.

The stimulus
Obama is still pushing to pass the stimulus, but it will never pass in it's current 579B$ pork state. Mr. President, back off, the more you ask for it to pass, the less your constituents support it.
Shirly Franklin, Atlanta's mayor since '02, has had 5 straight years of horrible fiscal planning, putting the city farther and farther behind each year, she continually cuts police and fire personnel, and adds other social services, a move that pisses off everyone except the liberals who vote for her, most of them criminals who like food stamps and section 8 housing. But wait, theres more, she wants 1.8 BILLION from Obama so that she can finish a new international terminal at ATL, which last time I was there, didn't need any more boarding areas; what else does she want to spend money on? Finishing the uprades to Fulton's sewer system that she started seven years ago... it can currently handle about 2 million residents plus the daily rush of shit during business hours, but there are only 816,006 residents since the last U.S. Census in 2000. She says the influx of money will create 40,000 new jobs in Atlanta, that's at an initial cost of $45,000 per job.

11 Days....really?
Two of Obama's picks for cabinet positions decided that they were either no longer interested, or going to resign.
You would expect that he would sit down and start finding new people to fill the positions, or atleast ask advisors to find him a few suitable candidates for each position. But that's not what he did, instead he went to an elementary school and spread a wee bit oh propaganda to the young ones about increasing the money that education facilities recieve.
President BHO and the First Lady were quoted as saying "We were just tired of being in the White House," and "We got out! They let us out!"

Another Broken Obama Promise
I know, I just posted one of these yesterday, but they are just so damn easy to find.
Remember this great Obama quote from May 2008?
We can't drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times ... and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK."
Well he already broke it, ever noticed how he almost never wears a jacket when a picture is taken of him, thats because he keeps the thermostat in the office at a brisk 78 degrees!!!
A spokesperson for Obama made the excuse that he was from Hawaii.

Since November of 2007 BHO has promised that he would not have any lobbyists working for him at the White House, on January 21st, one day after his inaugeration he issued an Executive Order saying the same thing.
Well guess what, he's hired two of the, in high positions:
William J. Lynn III: Defense Department, worked for Raytheon lobbying guess what... the Defense Department.
William Corr: Is going to Health and Human Services, he just finished working on K Street for the Anti-Tobacco industry.
Tom Daschle: Also going to Health and Human Services, he didn't directly work for the lobbyist, he's worse, he accepted money from them, oh and let's not forget the really important one, he forgot to declare, or pay taxes on $83,333. He wanted harder punishment on people who commited tax evasion, but everyone at the IRS seems to be forgetting about that now that he's working for Obama.
